The 2023 ECEIM congress will be held in Lyon, the “city of lights”. The combination of an exciting scientific program and the fantastic facilities can only attract a large number of delegates from all over the world. For those who don’t know ECEIM is the college of equine medicine specialists and currently includes ~230 members and ~100 training residents. Attendance to the congress is somewhat mandatory (at least 3 over a 5-year period), but the quality of our program always attracts many other delegates.
The pre-congress practical workshops will take place the 2 days before the congress (26-27th October) at the Cité Internationale and in the Lyon’s racetrack. Confirmed topics will include immunology testing, dermatology, gastro-intestinal work-up, infectiology diagnostics, medical training, and critical care. The 2-day scientific program of the congress itself will include 2 streams running simultaneously. Currently we have plans to record the lectures of the physical congress (delegate registration will include rights to view the lectures and access the recordings for the successive 2 months). Breaks and meals will include typical French food.
The social program will include a welcome cocktail party at the beautiful Palais de la Bourse (in the historic city centre). The second evening the social dinner will consist in a gala dinner at the “Cité Internationale”, in a festive and atypical atmosphere, accompanied by an equestrian cabaret and an amazing musical band.
With its international airport, Lyon is readily accessible from any corner of the world. The Congress is going to be located at the International Convention Center “Cité Internationale”, that includes a vast expositive area (>1000msq) and we endeavor to ensure that the expo area is going to be strategically located to maximize your chances of interaction with all delegates.
