The 11th National Conference on Geotechnical and Geological Engineering (JNGG 2022) organized in Lyon under the aegis of the French Committees for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (CFMS), Mechanics of Rocks (CFMR) and Geology of Engineer and Environment (CFGI). This 2022 session, entitled "Learning from the Past and Building the Future", will address many themes by showing how it is possible to capitalize on collective experience to better understand the new challenges to be met.
